Abstract
Frankfurter Beschwerde Fragebogen(FBF0 is a self-reprort inventory, which was developed by sullwold to help diagnose mental function of psychiatric patients. This study aimed at developing a Korean version of the inventory by may of
standardization.
Following results was obtained in this study, in which 804 subjects were surveyed.
1) Ten scales of FBF showed mostly and approximately middle range in difficulty indices, which is optimal for a good reliability of a test, And the reliabilities of the scales of FBF measured by item-total correlation and Cronbach Alpha proved
to
be
very high in most of the scales.
2) Three factors of FBF was identified in the study, while 83.8% of total variance was explained by three factors. The first factors(Sensory-Motor Disorder) includes the scale Psychomotor disorder(PSMO), Perceptual disorder(PERC), Deterioration
of
Discrimination(DSCR), and Blocking Symptom(BLOC), the second factor(Language-Cognitive disorder) includes the language disorder(LANG) and Cognitive Floating(COFL), and the third factor(Behavioral-Readjustment Syndrome) is related with the scales
Coping
response(COPE), Automatic Behavior disorder(AUTO), Selective Atention(ATTN), and Specific Anxiety(ANXI).
3) The Scales of FBF showed close correlation with the variables of age, education and sex, i.e., in the cases of normal groups showed mostly higher scores in FBF scales than the younger group ; and the average scores of female group were higher
in
most scales of FBF than the male group. for the clinical group, it was proved that the younger group showed higher scores in most of the FBF scales that the aged group ; the highly educated group seemed to have lesser symptoms than less educated
group
and female group cut higher scores than male group.
4) The scales of FBF showed significant group differences among age, sex and education group. In the case of normal group, the aged group showed higher scores in most of FBF scales than younger group, whereas for the clinical group the opposite
was
true, namely the younger group(acute patients) showed higher scores than the aged group(chronic patients). As to the sex variables, in both group(normal and clinical) female showed higher scores in most of FBF scales than male group. As to the
education
variable, only in the clinical group the highly educated group showed less symptoms measured by FBF scales than less educated group in most scales.
